mascara overload.

I am ashamed to admit that I have a problem. This problem has only reared its ugly hear during the last few months, but it seems to be getting worse and worse.

I have an addiction to mascara.

L-R Primark Eye Can't Go Wrong, Revlon Grown Luscious, Collection 2000 Big Fake Lash, Max Factor False Lash Effect, L'oreal Voluminous, Max Factor Lash Extension Effect, Models Own Mascara
BTW, im a geek and the mascaras are lined up so that the order goes from the center to the edges; best to worst 8)

Having previously been a religious owner of just Max Factor mascaras (my absolute favourite being False Lash Effect) I am now venturing into unknown mascara brands to me...

And I can't stop. That is why, for my own good, I have instigated a mascara ban, to try and cur the self-inflicted pain on my bank balance. I have an unopened L'oreal Volume Million Lashes mascara waiting in the wings, which I am only allowed to open when I finish another mascara, and under no circumstances am I to buy any more mascaras. At all.

Although right now I am craving another False Lash Effect... I have yet to find a mascara to trump this, and mine is almost gone, sob sob.

Must. Stop. Buying. Mascara.

My absolute favourite mascaras give a whole load of volume, length and generally amazing lashes... without the clumps. But isn't that what every girl wants from her mascara?! I find that the closest I can get to my perfect lashes is a combo of Max Factor False Lash Effect (2 coats) and then a swipe of L'oreal Voluminous, although I do find this pretty damn clumpy.

How do you get your perfect lashes?

And if you do have any recommendations for some wonderful mascaras you love, pop them in the comments please :) For reference when the ban finishes. Probably. Tee hee ;)

Oh and, before I forget...
Its Friday, Friday, Friday
Gotta get down on Friday
Partyin’, partyin’ (Yeah)... oh wait, its Saturday *headesk*

a hair miracle.

A few months ago, I was in a complete and utter hair rut, not knowing what to do about my dry, lackluster, flat hair. I was even blogging out my misery at my damn hair and its rebellious way, which were driving me to the extremes, check out the post here! After reading through all your lovely ladies advise on that post, and a quick skip around Superdrug, I picked up these:

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle
This much raved about deep conditioner was the top of my list when searching for some hair therapy and after trying multiple deep conditioners in the past, this is by far the best of the bunch. I use it once a week, applying it to just washed hair for about 5 minutes and then rinsing, leaving my hair to die for soft and silky. This is a huge winner in my book!

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave-in Conditioner
This is the first product I reach for to apply on damp, clean hair to the ends, detangling my slightly knotty, unruly hair to soft and silky goodness! This makes my ends look healthier and my hair easier to control, and will be a definate re-purchase for me!

After trying out these babies for more than 3 months now, I can conclude my hair is on its way to being healed from those darn straighteners that ruined my hair years ago! Combining the use of these two miracle products and a strict heat ban keeps my damage prone hair relatively split end free, and soft and silky like no ones business!

If you are having a bit of a hair slump I would definitely recommend trying the Aussie line, I will certainly be trying more from the wonder company :)

I purchased both these products myself.

Pixi2woo is one of my absolute favourite beauty guru's on YouTube, and her makeup tutorials are some of the best, in my opinion. One of her latest is based on Beyonce's makeup in the music video for Why Don't You Love Me and the makeup was so beautiful I just had to give it a go...

I absolutely adore this makeup, its soft but also very bold and I'm really embracing big black flicks in my eyeliner at the moment, a la Audrey Hepburn :)

Lately I've been feeling a little tired of my everyday makeup, which is very boring and simple for school and their stupid 'no makeup allowed' rules. I literally cannot wait for 6th form and for this year to be finished, as wearing proper makeup may actually be the thing I'm most looking forward to when I finish year 11... sad, I know ;)

Therefore, it's always nice to try something new with my makeup and shake it up a bit!
