How To: Messy Beach Hair

One of my favourite hair styles to wear during summer is the messy beach hair waves. This look can be achieved so very easily with the help of a few swipes of the good ole' straighteners or curling tongs, but, as I am on a strict no heat usage for my poor, thin and damaged hair, I have to make do with this method, which my hair really does thank me for. (although sometimes I cheat a little- naughty naughty!) Here's how I get messy beach hair with no heat:

Insert oh so attractive picture of me in a hair towel :/- haha.

So, first step is to scrub-a-dub your hair to make it soft, shiny and clean, and towel dry until its is damp.

Then add a blob of this...

VO5 Grooming Creme (mines from the pound shop) or something similar to that will tame your hair and keep its hold.

Another equally attractive picture of me with plaits looking about 5, the things I do for you guys! ;)

Plait your hair into french braids while it is still damp. I always beg my mum to do this for me as I am useless, last time I did it myself I ended up with a afro of frizz around my head. Not a good look :/

So, loose-ish french plaits on either side of your head are great, and then bedtime- zzzzzzz.

Wake up in the morning and taaaa- dahhh:

Once you've unraveled your plaits you should have something like above, soft waves running through your hair. The ends of my hair always seems to defy the rest of my hair and go more frizzy and ultra wavy as my hair is thinner at the bottom, so it is at this point iIsometimes cheat by using my straighteners on that part- sneaky, shhh ;)

And here's the final product!

I plaited my fringe and clipped it to the side of my head to make the look more casual.

The has got to be my lucky month.

Glamour and More I'm talking to you- and all I can say is Thank you Thank you Thank you!! :)

I know what your thinking- Not another review/haul of the amazing Benefit goodies from Glamour mag, but hold your horses people, I'll keep it short, promise ;)

Of course, me being a complete makeup addict, I had to pick up 3 copies of exactly the same magazine to get the trio of beautiful eye pencils Glamour were giving away. The Eye Bright has got to be my favourite by far, as its pale pink tones really seem to help brighter the inner corner of my eye and I use it along my lash line to help me look awake in the oh so early mornings.

Also the lovely More magazine were giving away coupons for free Barry M Dazzle Dusts, and after all your amazing help on which shade I should choose, I finally got my grubby little hands on the last pot of Mushroom.

And I have to say, it does live up to expectations!

A beautiful bronze, almost purple, shimmery grey that brightens up your eyes and adds sparkle? Yes please!

While I was in Superdrug I couldn't resist snapping up the 2True Cheek and Lip Tint in Blushed Pink which was recommended to me by the lovely Nicola.

Its a really beautiful soft pink blush that is easy to blend and last for an age on the cheeks, giving the perfect school girl glow.

On a completely un-beauty related note- another amazing freebie was this...

...which I won from Orange Bright Top Ups after I topped up ten pounds this month! I was amazed when I got the text saying I had won a free MP3 speaker, and so happy that I could now torment my family by blasting out tunes at all hours! ;)

Update & Apology :P

I'm a complete slacker - I know.

But I have good reason to be!

The last few days I've been down in Cornwall on an art trip avec my school.

Complete waste of time of course but I did get some amazing pictures of the beautiful Cornish landscape and ate a load of Ice Cream, so I wouldn't say it was a complete fail ;)

Check out the beach, it was stunning. Who knew England could be this pretty!!

Sorry I've been so MIA this week, its been a hectic mix of homework, exams, revision, birthdays etc etc, and I'm still a bit of a stressy bessy because I have my actual Spanish speaking exam tomorrow, eekkk!

*BTW, if any of you out there speak Spanish does anyone know how you say 'It was', like describing something from the past, like 'Camping was horrible'? Sorry, I am absolutely useless at Spanish! :/*

My larrrvveelly sister went out and got me the 80p copy of More magazine from WH Smiths yesterday, and in it it had a voucher for a free dazzle dust, yippee!

How To: Update you Jeans for Summer! :)

OK, so right at this moment its poring it down, but don't be fooled, it is officially SUMMER! :D

So, this got me thinking that it was time to ditch the jeans, and whack out the good 'ole shorts! BUT, hold your horses there bloggettes! A simple pimple way to get amazing new summery shorts or crops is to cut up an old pair of winter jeans that are too short, too long or just generally not Mr Right in the jean world. So this is my attempt at updating my summer wardrobe with two pairs of neglected jeans...

2 pairs of poor unwanted jeans and a little snip snip snip...

And taaahh dahhh!!

Whoop, new summer jeans, for zero pennies and in only 5 mins!

FOTD + OOTD! Whooopp!

Hey girlieeess,

Today I popped into town to pick up a few bits and bobs and also to go for a 'interview' at Marks & Spencer because I'm doing my Year 10 Work Experience with them in a few weeks!

I was all in a tizzy about what to wear, should I be all formal and sophisticated, or casual and simple, or formal/casual/middley? Eeekkk?!?!

Turns out I needn't have worried, because it was a very informal interview which consisted of me and my friend, who is also doing work experience there, filling in trillions of forms about 'team work'!

Oh well, this is the little outfit I decided to wear, its my idea of formal/casual/middley!
