The Dangers of Internet Shopping...

Saturday, 31 July 2010

Why oh why did Internet shopping have to be invented?

Sitting at home all day I've been staring at item upon item of products that I just have to have from the Internet because its a complete 'bargain'. In reality, the Internet and shops have teamed up on me to get me to spend money I don't have... and its working. Here's some of the things I'm lusting after...

Oh ELF, why must you be so tempting!?!

It makes me drool just looking at it...

I am also on the search for the perfect Denim Jacket, Aviators and Bikini...

Will my quest for the perfect summer buys ever end?

Not another haul Hannah...

Friday, 30 July 2010

After my disappointing 'not even big enough to be called a haul' haul at the weekend, my shopping list was still as long as my arm and I was craving to hit the shops once again!

So naughty, naughty me scurried of to town to pick up the latest haul...

I picked up these little beauty's in boots. Tinted moisturiser is a must-have for summer and this Natural Collection version is perfect. A bargain at £1.99, I wasn't expecting much, but when I tried it I was pleasantly surprised, as it actually looked great, with its only downside being that it doesn't contain SPF. The lipstick from 17 was on £3.99 in Balmy Beige and is a beautiful peachy beige colour which looks amazing...

Darn it, its prettiness suckered me in!

Next up on my shopping list was a fake tanning mitt to stop my grubby, little hands getting tangoed. I found this bargain in Primark for £2, and I can conclude after using it this morning, that it works, there wasn't a streaky orange stripe on my hands in sight!

On a quit visit to TG Huges I discovered their stash of St Moriz tanning sprays which I had been looking for for a while and which I snatched up for £2.99- BARGAIN! Comparison of mousse and spray St Moriz will be coming soon...
Upon popping into Wilkinson's to grab a bag o' pick n' mix, I saw this little bargain, 2 packs of Skin Therapy Facial Wipes for just 98p! Whoop!

Of course on a little nose around Primark, I picked up few steals. Some new leggings at £3 and this pretty dotty cardie for £5, down from £11! Good Times! I also couldn't resist this cute little bow ring for just £2!

Barry M Coral is on my finger nails if you wanted to know :)

By far, the best buy of the day were these couple of Max Factor mascaras from Superdrug, False Lash Effect and Lash Extension Effect. I also got my mummy one of the Max Factor Masterpiece mascaras as there was a 3 for 2 on all of Max Factor Products, oh Superdrug I do love thee!
Therefore, I ended up spending about £20 (£10 contributed from my mummy) on 3 mascaras! So technically, for the more mathematical of you, £10 for two Max Factor Mascaras, yayy! :D

That's it for my haulage for today, hopefully there wont be another haul for a while as I am severely lacking in the pennies department.

Have a great weekend my beauties! :)

Ahhh! I was sooo excited and happy and eeekkkk to receive this award from the lovely Nicola. Thank you my lovely! It really does mean the world to me! :D:D

The rules of this award are:
1. Once you recieve this award you must post a picture on your blog that is special to you and state why it is special.

2.You must post this award on your blog and thank the lovely person who gave you this award.

3.And last of all...Pass this award on to ONE lovely follower of your choice in appreciation of their follow :)

A picture that is special to me... hmmmm...

This is me and my beautiful best friends on my birthday a few months ago. I larrrvvvveee them ♥

I really wish I could tag Nicola back for the 'My Lovely Follower' award, as she really is an amazing follower and is supportive of all my posts, so thank you so much for that! However it would be pointless to just tag her back, and it was unbelievably hard to just choose one out of all my amazing followers. But eventually I settled on...

Shes so lovely and friendly, and her blog is amazing check it out! Thanks for being such a perfect follower Laura! :)

I also got tagged again for the 8 questions tag by the gorgeous Caz...

1. What magazines do you read?
I used to read More magazine every week, scavenged from my sister. However she did an internship for them a few months ago and now deems the magazine 'lies, just lies!' and refuses to buy it anymore :( So now the only time I get to have a giggle at 'men overheard' is when I'm able to go into town and pick it up myself!

2. Do you have any pets?
I used to have about 7 goldfish, but I'm hopeless with pets and there are sadly now 7 little graves in my garden.

3. What is your biggest achievement?
I'm only 15, so to be honest I wouldn't say I've achieved much in my life yet, but it would probably be getting into the school that I'm in right now, as its a pretty good school and I had to pass the schools test to get in... haha, how pathetic!

4. If you could only wear one nail polish colour for the rest of your life what would it be?
Barry M- Coral! I just never get sick of it, its perfect and summery and gorgeous, argghhh I just love it :)

5. What are your ambitions for the future?
I want to be a beauty journalist. Before blogging I didn't really know what I wanted to do, but reading others posts and writing my own has helped me decide I defiantly want a future career in journalism and I love beauty products, so it just makes sense :)

6. What is your favourite food?
Hmmm... I have a lot, but at the moment I have a complete obsession with Toffee Bakewells!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, nom nom nom.

7. Share your favourite photo from Tumblr or We♥It (if you don't have one of these just share your favourite photo)

8. What was the last song you downloaded?
Well as my computer is new and I still haven't got itunes back, I haven't downloaded for a while! So you'll have to settle for my favourite song at the moment...

Bruno Mars- Somewhere in Brooklyn

Ahh I love it, its been on repeat all day!

I've done this tag before so I won't write any more questions as I've already done it!

Gutentarg Bloggies!

A wee haul...

Tuesday, 27 July 2010

I say a wee haul, but really it only contains 2 items, much to my disappointment. After my recent slog on the train into Westfields Shopping center and trekking up and down into every shop available, I only managed to buy 2 things, TWO THINGS!! It was one of those days where nothing jumps out at you and you are completely at a loss as to what to buy, so freaking annoying!

I was so disappointed that I had to go and drool at the MAC counters and was extremely tempted to buy about 50 things. Of course, I restrained myself, and did not return with any MAC products and no serious dent in my bank balance, yayy! But also no Mac things to play with, boooo!

Anyway the couple of tops I did pick up are these...

This floral tank top was from Pull & Bear, which is such a cute shop I discovered yesterday. It has amazing clothes for amazing prices, this was only £7.99! Its so pretty and perfect for summer days, and the pattern is so sweet!

This is from New Look Children's department, hehe. I really am still a 5 year old at heart! At only £10, this was a complete bargain for a crop top and I love the flamingo pattern, its so cute! :D

That's it with my minuscule haul! Have a great week bloggies!

A whole host of awards!

I know, I know, I'm such a lazy blogger. All of these awards that I've been given have been piling up and I'm only just posting them, *slaps wrist*! Thank you all so much for your support with my blog, I am amazed that people actually read and maybe enjoy the words I write here, and even more flabbergasted people would actually give me awards for it! Eekk! :)
Here are all the one I have been awarded recently, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

A huge thank you to Ashley and Anna, you are both amazing! :)

Thank you to the gorgeous Emma!

Where do you think you will be in 10 years time?

Well, I will most definitely be older, 25 to be precise. I want to have a boyfriend, maybe even married, with a good job maybe in beauty journalism. I want to have travelled and visited every where I want to go. And I want to happy, super duper happy :D

Thank you Indigo, hun!
I've done this award before so I won't do the 3 things I love etc. again, but thank you!! :)

I'm soooo sorry! I've had this award saved in my draft posts for so long I've forgotten who gave it to me, naughty Hannah! *Slaps wrist again!* Sorry sorry sorry!! :(

But thank you to the amazing blogger who did give it to me!

You are all amazing, but these are the 15 who I tag for these awards (sorry if you've already done them)...

Take whichever award takes your fancy girls, you all deserve all of them :)

ELF Plumping Lip Glaze Review...

Sunday, 25 July 2010

Everyone strives for that perfect puckered pout, that only movie stars and cosmetic surgery lovers can achieve. A few years ago lip products with ingredients that were designed especially to irritate lips to make them appear larger came on the market. ELF's version of these 'miracle' lip glosses is ELF Plumping Lip Glaze.

Pretttyy, isn't it? :)

For just £1.50, this claims-

'Forget costly Collagen injections, or those painfully stinging glosses, stimulate your senses to a refreshed full perfect pout with e.l.f. Plumping Lip Glaze! e.l.f. proudly presents a revolutionary lip plumper, infusing Natural ingredients that awaken your senses for fresh, volume enhanced, and moisturized lips. This dual sided Plumping Lip Glaze has a tinted color for a subtle plump or a clear gloss that power plumps your lips, use together and instantly feel the lip enlarging effects!'

But does it actually plump up your lips, I think it's experiment time...

Please excuse my yellow teeth, my mum refuses to let me whiten them :/

This is the 'before' picture, my normal lips. Add lashings of the white side of the lip gloss and leave to 15 minutes, et voila...

Hmmm. Can you see a difference? While 'developing' the lip gloss created a not unpleasant tingling feeling, which also felt fresh and kind of toothpastey? I'm guessing this is whatever irritant ingredient it has in it working. Maybe there was some difference in the size of my lips, I think they look slightly plumper, but its not altogether noticeable.

Add the pink lip gloss side and what happens...?

Slightly plumper? Possibly. What do you think?

The pink side of the tube is very sheer and doesn't present much colour, although I think overall it gave a very pretty effect, even if it was a little sticky.

I'm reasonably happy with this product, has anyone else tried it, what do you think?

Have a good week bloggettes!
